Former post-doc; current collaborator

Radboud University

I am a Psychologist specialized in clinical neuropsychology and cognitive neuroscience. During my PhD I was conducting research on functional neuroanatomy of language in brain tumor patients using combined intraoperative and neuroimaging approach. As a postdoc at the Donders Centre for Cognition, I continue exploring brain white matter (functional) neuroanatomy researching on the involvement of (pre)SMA connections in language production and the interhemispheric language reorganization after stroke. My long term research line involves exploration of post-surgical plastic potential of white matter, as observed using post-surgical MRI and language follow-ups. More recently, I started collaborating with an evolutionary neuroanatomy team to better understand which could be the possible white matter neuroanatomical underpinningings allowing humans to speak.
