Owen Kapelle

Former Master’s student; now PhD candidate in Amsterdam

Groningen University

I am a research intern at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour and the Max Planck Institute for PsychoLinguistics. I have a passion for doing research that approaches old problems in an innovative, often multidisciplinary way, because I like to puzzle with methodological challenges regarding psycholinguistic and neurolinguistic research. My area of interest is language processing, particularly the interface between production and comprehension and the way language is represented in our minds and accessed when we use language. In my free time I like painting as well as programming and coding. These hobbies I also like to apply to my research, for example in visualising complex theories or making posters, as well as making new stimuli or using open science databases or corpera to develop stimuli lists.
